得奖名单都在意料之中，很多人都在之前的其他颁奖礼中得奖。Mahershala Ali之前荣获金球奖，而Regina King也得到金球奖。Lady Gaga、Mark Ronson、Anthony Rossomando 与 Andrew Wyatt的Shallow也荣获格莱美奖。

当晚最意想不到的的是Olivia Colman凭着The Favourite荣获最佳女演员。之前大家都猜测金球奖得主Glenn Close会得到这个奖项。Glenn曾七次提名奥斯卡，但从未得奖。

颁奖礼的结束相当平静。颁发最佳电影奖之后，Julia Roberts迅速地恭贺所有得奖者，向大家说晚安。有点草率，幸好Julia的粉红色晚礼服相当亮丽。
