在今早的媒体发布会上，米其林指南国际董事Michael Ellis宣布继日本、中国的香港和澳门之后，新加坡将会是另一拥有米其林指南的亚洲国家。狮城也是第一个被米其林指南选中的东南亚国家。米其林的密探团队即将在几个星期后开始到全岛的个大餐厅进行匿名点评，从而挑选出具备米其林星级资格的餐厅。他也分享了米其林密探在为餐厅评分时注意的5大标准。
